In this article we will cover some of my personal favourite routers and VPNs used to go against SBMM and get in easier lower K/D lobbies.
Routers
It’s highly unlikely your stock default ISP router will include any features to combat SBMM in Call of Duty due to they tend to be the basic of basic routers and only include standard features like Firewall and WiFi. No gaming features like VPN or GEO filters.
- NetDuma R2 (most common and popular with big streamers).
- XR1000 (runs using the DumaOS but more expensive and better WiFi)

VPNs (Virtual Private Network)
These VPNs are designed purely for SBMM. They’re no proper VPNs and won’t allow you to access Netflix content in other regions or change your IP address for example. However, they’ve the best ping/latency.
These VPNs are full proper VPNs which will unlock more options, better privacy and protection, access blocked content on Netflix but come at the cost of higher and increased latency/ping. Unless you’re lucky.
- NordVPN
- PureVPN
- ExpressVPN (personal favourite)
- Surfshark
